Setup and Maintenance of Landscapes and RFC Destinations

FlexNet Manager Suite ()

RFC destinations need to be correctly defined for each system in the SAP Admin module to enable processing of license-type recommendations and updating of user source records in the SAP systems.

In the system landscape, systems with missing RFC destinations have a red icon next to them. Communication with systems that do not have a valid RFC destination is not possible.

The inital setup of RFC destinations includes the following tasks:

  • Importing a system landscape from FlexNet Manager Suite
  • Synchronizing a system landscape with FlexNet Manager Suite
  • Resetting a system landscape

The general maintenance of RFC destinations includes the following tasks:

  • Adding RFC destinations
  • Modifying RFC destinations
  • Testing RFC destinations

Many of the tasks listed above use the Maintain RFC Assignments grid. For more information about this grid, see The Maintain RFC Assignments Grid.
