Accepting Recommendations

Accept a recommendation if you want to implement the recommendation from FlexNet Manager for SAP Applications.

Accepting recommendations changes the license type only in the report. The user primary data remain unchanged until you commit your changes.

  1. To accept a license-type recommendation:

  2. Run a Process Recommendations Offline report, and select for which user, or users, you want to accept the recommendations.

  3. Click Accept. The license type in the report is changed to the recommended value.

  4. If you accept recommendations to assign the new license type 04 (Substitute) or 11 (Multi-Client/System) and click OK, you are prompted to enter the following additional information.

    • License Type 04 (Substitute)

| **__From__** | The start date of the period when this user acts as a substitute. | | **__To__** | The end date of the period when this user acts as a substitute. | | **__User Name__** | The name of the user who acts as a substitute. |

  • License Type 11 (Multi-Client/System)

| **__SAP System__** | The SAP system on which the user is defined. | | **__Client__** | The client on which the user is defined. | | **__User Name__** | The user name of the user who is assigned license type 11. | 5. When you are finished, click OK.

Accepted recommendations are highlighted in orange.

You need to commit the changes to the SAP database for the changes to take effect. See Committing License-Type Changes.
