Scheduling a Collection Job for the Staging Database Monitor

You can automate the data collection using the Staging Database Monitor by scheduling a job.

To schedule the Staging Database Monitor to execute the data collection as a recurring job:

Open the SAP Admin module.

In the system landscape, click Administration and then Staging Database Monitor.
The Staging Database Monitor interface displays, allowing you to specify the data collection criteria.

In the Systems section, select the dependent systems from which the data should be collected.
For information about the options on this screen, see the table under step 3 in topic Collecting Data from Dependent SAP Systems.

In the menu bar, click Program and select Execute in Background.

In the Background Print Parameters dialog, specify relevant values, if desired, or accept the default values.

Click Continue

In the Start Time dialog, click Date/Time. Type in the date and time when the job should be started, or press F4 to select the start date and time from the Calendar or Choose Time dialog, respectively.

At the bottom of the Start Time dialog, click Period values. In the Period Values dialog, click the desired option to specify how frequently the job should be executed. Click Save
.
The Period Values dialog is closed and you return to the Start Time dialog.

In the Start Time dialog, click Save
.
The Start Time dialog is closed and you return to the Staging Database Monitor screen. At the bottom of the screen, the message
Background job was scheduled for program /LICMAN/SD_MONITOR
confirms that the job has been scheduled successfully.
