PerformSoftwareUpdateScan can be used to enable or disable the gathering of security-related software update information on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.

• On Red Hat Enterprise Linux and macOS, this includes the list of available security-related software updates.
• On Windows, this includes a list of both available and already installed security-related software updates.
